Kids, Family & Private Cooking Classes in Orange County | DC Culinary Club Cooking Classes & Culinary Programs in Orange County | DC Culinary Club

Programs

Built for who you are.

Every program is led personally by Chef Rémy Carton and kept deliberately limited, each one shaped to the student it serves.

Our Programs

Education designed for real life.

From a child learning the foundations of cooking to a school building a lasting enrichment program, every DC Culinary Club experience is designed to make culinary skill and food knowledge practical, personal, and lasting.

01For Children & Teens

Youth Culinary Education

Hands-on cooking instruction for children and teens. Students learn knife skills, heat control, seasoning, and how to carry a dish from raw ingredients to a finished plate on their own.

  • Ages 8 to 18
  • Private or small group
  • In-home or partner kitchen

How instruction is built

Sessions are progressive rather than one-off classes. Early sessions establish safety, knife handling, and how ingredients behave, then move into complete dishes, seasoning by taste, and cooking without a recipe.

What students walk away with

Knife and station work, heat and technique, seasoning and tasting, and the ability to plan, time, plate, and clean down a full meal unassisted.

Format

Private or small group, in your home or a partner kitchen, taught personally by Chef Rémy Carton and shaped to the age and ability of the students in the room.

02For Young Athletes

Youth Athlete Nutrition

Performance-focused cooking and nutrition education for competitive young athletes. Fueling is built around the training week, with the athlete doing the cooking.

  • Competitive youth athletes
  • Athlete and family sessions
  • Training, competition, and recovery
  • In-home or partner kitchen

Food first, always

There are no supplement protocols and no restrictive language. Athletes learn to fuel a training week with food they cook themselves, taught in practical terms and demonstrated in the kitchen.

What is covered

Fueling across heavy, light, and rest days, pre and post training meals, recovery and hydration, and holding a routine together through competition and travel.

Format

Assessment of the sport and training week, a fueling framework and meal rotation designed by Chef Rémy, then hands-on sessions until the routine holds on its own. Family sessions available.

03For Families

Family Culinary Experiences

Private, hands-on culinary experiences designed for families to cook, connect, and create lasting memories together while building practical skills in the kitchen.

  • Private family experiences
  • Hands-on, chef-led instruction
  • Customized menus and formats
  • In-home or partner kitchen

What this is

A guided culinary experience where the family cooks. Chef Rémy teaches technique at the counter while the household prepares the menu together, from prep through to the finished table.

What this is not

This is not restaurant service, catering, or a children's party package. No one is cooked for. Every guest takes part in the work.

Format

Menus, pacing, and skill level are customized around the family, in your home or a partner kitchen. Single experiences or recurring evenings are both available.

04For Schools & Organizations

Schools & Organizations

Chef-designed culinary curriculum and sustained programming for schools, athletic programs, and youth organizations. Enrichment series through to full-term partnerships.

  • Schools and youth programs
  • Athletic departments
  • Semester pilots available

Scope of partnership

From a short enrichment series to a full-term curriculum built with your faculty, with clear learning objectives, session plans, and materials prepared in advance.

Athletic programs

Team-level fueling education delivered alongside coaching staff, built around the competition calendar and the realities of a student athlete's week.

Getting started

Most partnerships begin with a semester pilot so the program can be evaluated on outcomes before committing to a longer term.
