For Schools & Organizations
Culinary education, built into the year.
Chef-designed culinary and nutrition education for schools, athletic programs, and youth organizations, built to develop progressively rather than land as a one-time event.
From focused enrichment series to full-term partnerships.
The Approach
A curriculum, not a demonstration.
Most culinary programming offered to schools is a demonstration. Students watch, taste something, and leave. DC Culinary Club builds the opposite: hands-on sessions where every student participates and each lesson builds on the one before it.
Chef Rémy Carton designs and teaches the programming personally. Content is mapped to the age group, the facilities available, the length of the engagement, and what the institution wants students to understand and be able to do by the end.
Programs can run alongside the existing timetable, within an after-school schedule, through an athletic department, or in a partner kitchen. Semester pilots are available for organizations that want to establish the model before moving into a longer-term partnership.

The Foundation
What a partnership can build.
Programming is designed around practical participation, clear learning goals, and skills students can continue using after the engagement ends.
Progressive Curriculum
Lessons build from safety and fundamentals into technique, ingredient knowledge, nutrition understanding, and more independent preparation.
Hands-On Participation
Every student works. Sessions are structured around measuring, preparing, cooking, tasting, and completing food rather than watching a demonstration.
Practical Food Knowledge
Students learn how ingredients work, how food supports everyday health and performance, and how to make informed choices without fear-based language.
Lasting Capability
The goal is not simply a successful class. It is greater confidence, practical skill, and knowledge students can carry into their homes and daily lives.
Built to Last
Programming that belongs in the institution.
Every partnership is designed to work within the organization's students, schedule, space, and goals while maintaining a clear educational standard.
“A meaningful culinary program should leave students with something they can still use after the final session.”
Designed Around the Institution
Content, pacing, group size, and format are shaped around the organization's age groups, available facilities, timetable, and intended outcomes.
Students Do the Work
Programming is participatory by design. Students prepare and cook rather than watching Chef Rémy complete the work for them.
Built to Progress
Sessions connect to one another so students can develop technique, understanding, and confidence over time rather than attending unrelated one-off activities.
The Process
How a partnership works.
Every engagement begins with understanding the students, facilities, schedule, and outcomes the organization wants to create.
Clearly scoped, thoughtfully designed, and built to work in practice.
- Step 01
Discovery
We discuss the student population, age groups, facilities, schedule, priorities, and the kind of engagement the organization is considering.
- Step 02
Program Design
Chef Rémy creates a scoped curriculum, session cadence, learning progression, materials plan, and delivery format aligned with the institution.
- Step 03
Launch & Learn
The program begins with clear expectations and a defined cadence. Progress, participation, and practical outcomes inform the path forward.
